British Army under fire for 'racist' tweet that showed a soldier with black face paint

I don't see the problem. Someones just read way too much into a completely non offensive tweet and then the bandwagon began.

I wish they'd banned them completely. I have a deep seated hatred for the Shrewsbury folk festival Morris dancers :mad: (Just those ones, anywhere else they're fine)
 
I sort of get there point though... I don't know what else the comment about 'having a sense of humour' is meant to be directed at other then the face paint... Is it the expression?

The fact that to survive in the jungle you need a sense of humour.

It's as simple as that doesn't actually have to have anything to do with the image other than that's a pretty standard look for jungle work.

As an ex R.A.F. serviceman I remember being taught the 6 S's by the R.A.F. regiment. These were:

Shape
Shine
Shadow
Sound
Silhouette
Sudden Movement

It may have changed since I left so somebody may correct me but anyhow, I can't see how this can ever be racist as it's SOP for UK armed forces. :confused:

Ahhhh OK. Still, I can see why it would be misinterpreted. Not the best wording for what most people would consider to be a slightly 'edgy' pic, regardless of what side of the argument you might fall on. Not saying I agree either btw. Best get that in before the SJW bashers have me DDos'd to hell and back.
