**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I was on the VR more last night. It works particularly well with Netflix imo. That app is fantastic. The Samsung Browser is great too. I watched random YouTube vids full screen and it was quite amazing really.

I'll certainly buy a version 2 if one ever comes out with higher resolution, although guess that's down to the phone. Hopefully Samsung will really push the VR and therefore we could see insane ppi levels on future phones.

I've been without a screen guard since may and have to say I've barely got a mark on mine

I have not used a screen protector since I bought my S7 it in March, due to the glass ones taking ages to be released, and I only have small hairline scratches that are only visible if you really look for them in specific light. The phone is continually in my pocket with keys etc and I have dropped it a couple of times too... that's where the Spigen case comes in handy.

I don't intend on selling this phone and will keep it as a backup or donate to family when I want to upgrade, so I'm not being as careful as usual.

Still, it seems to be standing up to the rigors of my abuse for now. :)

Had my S7 edge since early March. It's the first phone in ages I haven't put a glass screen protector on and I have zero scratches so far.
I wouldn't say I baby my phone either, it's been chucked in coat pockets with my vape, keys and all kinds

My Note 7 has gone. Decided that I couldn't do without the camera and wireless charging or waste a fast 128GB SDHC card so I'm now here with a S7E.

Well a 7 Edge ordered, my eyes couldn't take looking at this iPhone 7+ Screen any longer, the greys that should be black are doing my nut in. Nice phone though :p

I haven't marked the screen but the back glass seems to mark easy. Picked up a couple of small marks in a week. I've ordered DBrand skin for the back.

Yeah, I remember watching a scratch test video when it was first released and the back was much easier to scratch. Keep mine in a case anyway, so that protects the back, but haven't needed anything to protect the front.

Really impressed with the picture quality on the s7 edge.

I absolutely hammered the battery yesterday organising a family party, at one point whatsapp was level with screen on time and battery usage

I still got 6 hours of screen on time, fantastic

Having moved over to the S7 Edge from an iPhone and iOS for 5 years I am 99% happy with the transition and android in general.

I do miss the way iOS handles notifications though. They just seem more front and centre and harder to miss on iOS - particularly with iOS 10. I also miss the way iOS has native support for monitoring the battery levels for bluetooth speakers.

I also find android apps are less polished. And often in messaging apps the keyboard stays visible or when you go into a conversation it sometimes isn't at the bottom of it (seems to remain where you last scrolled to). Just odd behaviours you don't see in iOS generally.

Those are pretty minor though. Day 4 of usage and am very pleased with the choice and glad I didn't just grab an iPhone 7 Plus.
