looking to replace fans on my system as a few years old and have gotten a little noisy

its inside a define r5 with no side window.
looking quiet.

currently have the 2 fractal stock for intake on front and single corsair from old case for the exhaust.

have a 212 hyper evo on cpu.

best silent fans?

ive never had them but the bequiet range seem to be very good and are suggested a lot same as noctua.

but they are all start to get noisy after 1200ish rpm

Same case as you. I replaced the stock fractal fans (which were not bad) with NF-P14s redux-1200 (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/noctua-nf-p14s-redux-1200rpm-140mm-quiet-case-fan-fg-044-nc.html)

I bought the PWM version so control it through my motherboard, but previously had the standard ones controlled through the built in fan controllers in the case. Completely silent on lowest speed, hardly audible on medium, loud on high. Even on high it was still more silent than my RX480.

noctuas are about £15 each which isnt bad. i can hear the noise even though my case is soundproofed.
Anything quieter is probably either low performance, or turned down too far.
Every fan makes noise, especially above 1000rpm. Most of that is the movement of air.
However, even with nine Noctuas and a water pump going, the loudest thing in my case is still the HDD.

When people talk about their "silent rigs", I strongly suspect they mean 'so quiet, the noise is unobtrusive', rather than 0dB of noise.

oh absolutely. unless you have a completely passively cooled rig (with SSDs) and even then you may hear buzzing and coil whine.

The criteria for me is to be below ambient when idle/desktop/browsing and unobtrusive while gaming (so around the level of noise from TV or speakers at a non-loud volume).

ordered one of these for now to test it- Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 Fan
ill put it in my other pc if its no good for me.

and yeah people say silent but thats not really silent if makes any noise.

my rear fan seems to be bearings or something making it a bit noisy.

just looking for being able to sit there and not hear pc over speakers etc

af 140/120 non led fans look good, was looking to replace both my rears with them. good reviews. non pwm.

get the non led ones as the led versions arent as good, for whatever reason.

I like the Cougar Vortex fans for unrestricted intake/exhaust fans, move a huge amount of air and extremely quiet.

I've been quite impressed with the 140mm Aerocool DS Edition that I'm using as an exhaust. Moves a lot of air and is very quiet on all but the fastest speeds.

I'm now having a fairly quiet rig when I'm doing work and browsing. CPU fan runs at 600rpm and the rest are silent. Meanwhile I can run it on highest profile when I needed to. I even taken out my SSHD to reduce the noise :D I can hear only myself breathing or heartbeats... IMO silence rig exist, and u can have one too easily. System is around 25dB+ when fully loaded.
