So I've had my corsair void headset for awhile, The wireless was fun for abit but the battery is showing it's age now. It isn't what it use to be and its getting annoying having to charge it half the time so yea, I'd like to upgrade from it.

I do love the sound from the voids, The bass has a decent kick to it and such, So something with overall great sound with decent bass.

My price range - 200

If you want a good headphone with decent bass I can highly recommend the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Comes in at £100'ish and is what the audiophile community have called "fun", For bass I call it beastly and is great for bass heavy music and gaming.

With the £100 that's left over you could get a nice little AMP/DAC like the SMSL M3 or something else in the £100 price range so you'd have a nice little audio setup :)

Sounding good, Thanks man will look into the DT770

Another one worth looking at if you like a bit of bass is the Sony MDR-1A (£120), one big difference being is that it doesn't have the piercing highs of the DT770. They have plenty of detail but the highs stay out of sibilance territory. They also have a good sized sound stage for a closed back.

Sony looks nice too but am struggling to find info on them. Do they even need a amp? Seems there more suited to mobiles over say a computer/amp combo.

They don't need a powerful amp, though I am running mine out of my Schiit Magni 2 and they sound great on low gain. I even use my IEMs on the desktop when the fancy takes me, there is nothing saying that they are only for mobile use.

The only real nod to the Sonys being aimed at mobile use is the short (1.3m) cable but as my Magni 2 it's not a problem. If I want to use them for gaming I have a short extension cable from my Asus Xonar STX that gives me a permanent connection on my desktop - problem solved!

After looking through a ton of headphones i think i found the one i want.

I do a lot of gaming but I love bass too and it seems like the AKG K712 Pro are the best of both worlds for me. Hopefully there decent for the price :D

You will need a good dac/amp for those.

Ended up going for a DT990. Wanted open with good soundstage and bass, hopefully I get what I wanted! Gonna try them tonight.

So am bloody impressed. For the price of the headphones there completely amazing. Maybe am just use to headsets but what a difference... The bass does not seem that amazing to me but it works.
