Gas shocks with oil shocks?

Hey.

So a rear shock has gone on the car.

I wanted to move to bilstien b6 all round anyway as the fronts are Deffo lack luster.

Is it ok (as in performance) to use gas B6 at the front and new oem at the back?

Or is is best to do all 4 B6?

I only ask because the B6 rears are over 70% more expensive each.. lol

I plan to fit rears myself and have a garage to fit front.
 
I wouldn't see it to be a problem, it might affect handling a bit but it's certainly not going to be dangerous I would've thought.
 
Can't imagine this is a good idea at all, mixing shock settings on front and back is going to make it unpredictable

The car needs a new rear shock anyway and the fronts are bouncy so need doing
This thead was about what to choose for normal maintenance.

I have been offered a swap to an mps for my car. But peopleon here told me not too... and my wife would kill me haha
 
Should have bought it in the first place, instead of constantly trying to justify the dervs existence whilst persistently trying to make it into an MPS.

Anyway, mismatched shocks is truly a terrible idea in terms of grip and ride - you'd have two entirely different responses to the same road conditions which will make things very sketchy and unpredictable. For the sake of normal maintenance, get the B4s all round, and save yourself (and your credit card) some pain.

best place for B4's imho is eBay, make sure to buy from a german seller :)

They tend to be vastly cheaper than UK and deliver just as quick :P

Must add as well amazon have had some pretty good prices on Ebach and H&R springs in the past with Prime included, if of course you needs springs also
