They was coming back from holiday from Yarmouth at the time.
Something on the steering went and the car hit the curb and flipped over.

Lucky this time my mum a slower driver and was only doing 40 on the 70 road.
Two my uncles went on holiday with them and one of them was knocked out after the car flipped over.

Lucky a off duty police was in the area and helped them out.

All safe and well now just bruise up.
We all put the lotto on tonight :)

Ooof.

Saw a van today - can't remember if it was the M11 or M25 - that must have rolled over several times :S can't seem to find any details though.

Thanks :)

Yeah a investigation to see what went wrong, just lucky no other cars was involved.

The car was not worth much only £400-500 so they look for another car when they feel up to it.

Cheers.

If that is a picture of the actual accident, that is not a 70 road!

Bearing in mind that that is a narrow looking road with what look very much like double white lines and only a couple of hundred metres from a roundabout , there is no shame in driving more cautiously. I wouldn't have been going more than 50 on that road, even if that!.

But what happened to the car?

Catastrophic steering failure is very rare.

When was the last MOT? Were there any advisories? How old are the tyres? did you get a slow-flat/blow-out (The pictures do not indicate this)

Did she hit a pot hole?

Anyway, it will all come out in the wash. Just be thankful that everybody survived relatively unscathed.

Good luck for the future.

:)

Pretty sure that'll be a 60 nsl road. Steering failure or the usual poor driving associated with people who can't do more than 40 on a perfectly clear wide road?

Glad they're okay either way!

It will be a 60 NSL I expect.

But,

200 metres upstream from a roundabout? would you still be going flat out (Legally) only 6 seconds or so away from a junction where it is likley that you might have to come to a full stop??

Double whites suggests that visibility might be poor too so doing the full 60 might well also be unwise, even if there wasn't a give-way/stop situation only seconds away.

The two together definitely so!

No shame in doing 40-50 on that stretch of road. none at all!

To me as long no one got really hurt or killed is all that matters.

I don't think it was driver error my mum pretty careful but I can only say what I was told today.
Just glad everyone home safe now.
