No Bigots Need Book An Airbnb Room

At the end of the day if you want to rent your house/room/apartment/whatever out as a business you need to agree to the same terms as every other business which includes not discriminating against certain characteristics.
Don't like it, don't continue as a business of sorts.

I've always wondered what it is that bothers you people so much about regulations that have only one goal which is to make people a bit nicer(even if they don't mean it).

Is kindness offenssive? Or is it you being forced to show it?

You call it "kindness" I call it social conditioning. I do not accept the idea that there are more than two sexes (or "genders" if you prefer) and will never use preferred pronouns. Trying to force me to do so under the pretext of "kindness" is a roundabout way of making me accept something that is not true.

What about hosts in other parts of the world? Much of the focus seems to be about the United States.

While the detailed guidance is focused on users in the United States, the policy and essential principles of inclusion and respect apply to all hosts in our global community.

When will a global policy be developed? Will I be notified?

The policy applies to everyone who uses Airbnb around the world. Detailed guidance for hosts and guests outside of the United States will be released in the weeks and months ahead.

As I said, depending on your country. Airbnb isn't the law of the land.

P.S. it's funny you try (and fail) to knit pick that post but not the post replying to mike about only white people being racist, why is that? :)

I wonder what the reaction would be from forum members if they were forced to accept a ***** into their home considering nobody should be discriminated against?

No one's being forced to do anything. Don't like the terms? Don't make money through Airbnb.

OK then what would the reaction be when one turns up on your doorstep?

Say "Go away" and cease using Airbnb if that's what you wish.

You are not being forced to let anyone in that you don't want to, Airbnb aren't going to come round batter your door down and set the unwanted party up on the sofa with a beer and some snacks but if you wish to continue using their services then you're **** out of luck.

So only white people are racist and only heterosexuals have problems with other sexual orientations?

Now who's the bigot?

All races can be racist, all sexual orientations can be prejudice. I still don't think I'm bigot for expecting everyone else to treat others the same. Clearly that is asking too much.

"What if, what if, what if"

"Travellers" by their very definition live in mobile homes. Why on earth would they want to book your house on AirBnB?

But if they do, don't discriminate.
