Right guys its new case time. I have had Corsair 800/900D's for the last few years and feel it's time for a change I have narrowed it down to these 2, which would you go for and why?

I have heard nothing but praise for the Enthoo Primo, And the build quality from Phanteks is exceptional.

Currently Waiting on the Enthoo Elite myself.

Yeah Primo has been out for a while now, i would maybe get a newer design as it wont feel dated quite so fast :) It is a fantastic case though, i love mine and intend to keep it for years to come, just love all the rad space.

Sorry mate as much as it looks the dogs I'm not spending upwards of £500 on a case.

My Primo is huge, didn't expect it to be server size. Having said that, it is a modders dream, as everything is easy to get at and well thought out. So pay attention to the dimensions when ordering. I also found the PSU cables (ATX motherboard) only just reached.

Only downside has been the OEM PWM, which hasn't worked since day one. I've now pulled it out and replaced with manual fan controller which works a treat.

Oh I believe an OcUK Staff member said its rumored to be around the £500 Mark.

If you're willing to spend upto £500 then It might just be worth holding out.

Trying not to hijack but does anyone have an estimated date for the phanteks enthoo elite?

I have contacted OcUK a few times and despite the original estimate of September, They have informed me that there is no current ETA or Price.

No way will it be £500, nearer £700 with the exchange rate.

Took me a few days of messing around to get that thing working too, i probably should have read the instructions but i prefer to get frustrated and destroy things rather than doing that :)

Well, To say OcUK are going to be the first in the world to stock them.

Selling them at the £700 mark will really hurt their sales considering they're launch price is rumored at $699, which is currently £560.

I'm going to hold out regardless, and if it for some obscene reason is listed much above £500 then I will buy a different case.

$699, which is currently £560

You know any USD MSRP is excluding any VAT right?

So with UK 20% VAT the real price will be $699 x 20% VAT = $838.80.

Which is around £680

Thats if the MSRP is right.

Just look at NZXT H440 on that egg site in USA = $118 but UK price is £109.99....
$118 x 20% VAT = $141.60, which is aprox £113 so thats why....

Oh, I completely overlooked that.

I'd think £499 ish.

Now I understand that this is not set in stone, to which this was more than likely speculation / guesswork and I know prices fluctuate a lot given many factors are involved.

However that is a huge increase in price and way above what I would be willing to pay.

I've been sitting on my case fund since I first heard about the case, back when it was the Project 916. I just hope I'm not let down by such a high price tag.

If that is the MSRP for this case i think it's a bit too much!

If I was in the market for buying a case and i had that kind of money to spend i'd buy a Caselab's case!

I've used the Enthoo Primo since the white version came out, I love it! Would highly recommend one, especially at the price!

CaseLabs was my Initial choice, But after speaking to one of the staff members there we worked out that on the Magnum STH-10 with all shipping, taxes and all, it would cost around the £900 mark (Before the £ to $ Drop).

Now although I really like the CaseLabs cases, £900 for a case that doesn't have a Glass Window is a no go for me.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Phanteks or Lian Li case to be honest.

So, the Enthoo Elite will cost more than originally planned, but there is a very good reason for this, which will come apparent when we launch. Exchange rate alone makes a significant difference unfortunately, however Phanteks have come up with something that will potentially soften the blow. I can't wait to announce it, expect the launch before Xmas. There has also been delays to improve the case and make it worthy of the pricetag.

Its the same view with Caselabs cases as to this one, what on earth do they do to push the R&D and so high that when added to the materials makes a normal metal case cost stupid amounts of money... Bearing in mind the Primo is 200 quid, what can they do to possibly add 300 quids worth of materials and parte in... More LEDs? Probably. Bigger case= more metal but surely not by that much?

If someone could explain how a price can jump from 200 to probably 700, and then people think this is a fair price, feel free to let me know what you do for a career!
