Ok, I'm going to come clean, I just wanted to show of my new gadget. But at the same time, this could be a thread for everyone to share their prized kitchen possessions and perhaps offer advice to others on which products to buy?

Anyway:

Cyber pint if anyone can guess what I had for breakfast? :D

Nom nom :)

I might have to copy your idea for lunch. I need some more eggs first though...

How much was the mixer? Looks rather pro :)

£440 second hand. It's the older model (which I prefer). The new model is about £900 new.

Useful for the missus as well. She can chuck a load of veg in, cook it in there and then blend it. Should hopefully mitigate the post-nuclear-attack look she goes for every time she cooks! :D

Propane, pellet ones are loads more money and don't think I could justify

Got loads of woods on order as well as brisket, pork shoulder and baby back ribs

how much was it? do you have to control temps or is there some sort of automation.
and hell yeah post some pics when you use it.

£165 delivered though it was a "second" with a small cosmetic dent, normal price about £225

Temp controlled by adjusting burner and air vents

Did a lot of reading up and it seems fairly easy to control but you do need to check from time to time

I thought it was a good deal, I've aligned the doors better now that they are in the pic and am looking forward to the weekend

Woods/meat and other bits cost me about £125 more though :p

Ooh, that's nice. Need a good quality thermometer in there.

Loin of Lamb, 57 °C internal, hickory smoke. Goes well with salt-baked carrots, and a savoury granola. Nom nom.
