3gb 1060 flash to a 6gb 1060?

Best taking the cooler off and looking, NT-H1 everything that needs it and give it a shot; worked for me. Fairly sure mine is speed binned or never made the grade and crippled as a 1050. TBH I am happy to be where I am with it for what I paid.

yup. Tried to do it on asus 6950 2GB, didn't work. Flashes ok but doesn't unlock shaders, have to flick switch then reflash back to stock.

I flashed my 6950 to unlock shaders and used to have a sticky on the process in this very forum...

The people dissing this thread are just highlighting their lack of knowledge

The reference RX480 4GB could be flashed to a RX480 8GB.

Some Fury cards could have shaders unlocked.

Early HD6950 2GB cards could be unlocked to an HD6970 2GB.

AGP 6800LE cards could have shaders unlocked.

The 9500 64MB could be unclocked to a 9700 PRO.

So there have been few cards which could be unlocked in one way or another.

I remember this well. I had a 9500 NP which unfortunately wouldn't flash, damn I tried! I then had a 9700NP and later a 9800 Pro.
