gaming desks[?]

Personally I spent awhile looking at a few and then ended up going for a big plain Ikea jobbie with adjustable legs instead.

i also went with the ikea types as there seems to be a lot of options for making up a desk.
That was before i went for a solid wood worktop for my latest desk.

Had mine for 4 years and they arn't that bad, scratch easily but then again you can order new tops for them if you wish, or just cover it up!

Not had that problem really the only scratch on mine is where I was clumsy with a knife.

ikea seems like a good idea.

i felt that searching for "gaming desks" on google led me to believe they're targeted at certain people ['saw you coming' types!].

or, at the very least, gamers that were far more into gaming than me.
you know, special 'cup' holders built on the side of each leg for big extra large cups of dr. pepper for those extreme tournaments!

Don't forget built in toilet so you don't need to go for a toilet break just poop whilst playing the game. And built in feeder tubes so you don't need to leave to go to the kitchen.

That is one thing that put me off - saw a few that weren't bad but either an order of magnitude more money than they were worth or had extra useless features that would just get in the way.

Gaming desks............basically any decent sized desk is fine.

Bought a large ikea corner desk about 10 years ago, tons of room, sturdy, what more do you need for gaming.

I bought this office desk from Homebase a couple of years ago - very strong and heavy and big enough to even have two monitors ect - and has a shelf tucked underneath I house my router and 2.1 sound system on - the drawers are a real bonus too :D

I don't think Homebase do it anymore, but Argos do, although the price I paid was £165 and it is now showing at £235

It's the "Middleton Office Workstation with 6 drawers - Oak with Grey"

Hope this helps someone decide?

My problem is I use mine for building PC's on as I got 2 120cmx60cm pushed together and I've scratched one of them pretty bad, it doesn't look terrible but will do if I keep doing it!

I bought one of these, I wanted my Tower off the floor. But recenty upgraded my Tower and was restricted a lot by the shelf and dimensions. It wasn't very expensive off ebay. And was easy to put together. http://prntscr.com/d52fy2
