I've seen that a couple of times in hospital. Very sad. Absolutely guts you even though they are complete strangers.

Hope your little'un gets well soon.
 
Week off and getting my new American style fridge delivered today, was supposed to be at 8:00, then 9:00 now the tracker is showing 11:30 - considering they are only delivering in the local areas I'm guessing traffic is naff.

When they arrive I shall nonchalantly say "only 3 hours late then" - ;)

And my first day as a driver involved 4hrs of sitting around doing nothing but fill out an induction, have a coffee and sit in a warm cabin playing on my phone until I got sent home.

They couldn't use me because DVLA haven't sent my license back yet (DVLA online license check confirms I can drive a class 2!) so they said I'd be a drivers mate today.... then after 4 hrs they called me in and sent me home even though I confirmed it with the agency and they said it would be ok.

So now I'm not going to do anything until I have my license even though DVLA have confirmed I am ok to drive a class 2.

That's thrown my week into turmoil.... might go out and paint the wood on my garage and sort bits out on the Porsche lol.

Ok so I wasn't expecting the boxes to be this big...:o well 1 of them yes as its a 50 x 20 canvas but the other I was expected 2 x smaller boxes...oops.

I shall be bringing the car to work this week then and these can live in the server room until then! :D

Got a few looks today...
 
So I raided the supplies at work and found a BNIB set of 8GB sticks, put them in my PC and no more issues :o Think I'll take my old RAM to work tomorrow and put it on memtest all day
 
I don't get it. How can I be happy for a week and then after one day of being back at work be back to depressed ol' me :(

Before my week off I found out that a lot of people aren't too happy with me progressing through the ranks, I'm pretty sure this is directly correlated to my age. But the tension is just so real now, I honestly feel like the staff I had a joke with previously I can't even look them in the eye. On the bright side, I came out to an employee today and that went well. :(
 
Anyone else having internet problems today? It's just generally sluggish for me on matter where I've been or what I'm trying to connect to.

Yesterday, estimated delivery date for parcel - 11th
Parcel arrives in Portugal late last night, way up in the north.
Decide not to bring the car in as it won't be turning up. Will bring the car in when its arriving to take it and the 2 parcels from yesterday home.
Update this morning, parcel is in Lisbon.

I'm guessing it will arrive today.

Whilst I am pleased, it is arriving quicker than expected I am also mildly annoyed as I could have brought the car in this morning! :p :mad:

So I took over managing the business website fairly recently due to being the only person with the skill set, now there have been mentions of commission because it's performing and with currently circa 70k sat on the table with that as a source I'm going to halt all of the changes I want to make until I get it signed. Hopefully should see some nice bonuses :o Can't help but feel like a dick for not helping sooner as it'd help hit targets easier, but got to help myself :p
