John Lewis Xmas Advert 2016/7

I don't watch TV enough for me to be that annoyed by it being on all the time.

That said, I do like the John Lewis adverts for making me think. It's better than the normal screaming shouting "BUY THIS. YOU NEED THIS NOW. YOUR LIFE ISN'T COMPLETE UNTIL YOU BUY XYZ PRODUCT" that everyone else seems to produce.

I love Christmas ads

My favourite is still the Sainsbury's one with the soldiers. Properly moved me that one.

Mildly annoys me that the dog's head going up and down seems out of time with the girl going up and down. Also seems unnecessary, surely the dog could just move its eyes :D

That was not exactly what I would class as a 'humorous' advert, certainly nothing that would make me 'lol'. Mildly cute, yes, but that's about it, and it really peters out during the morning scene.

Would have been better had the dog joined in with the animals, or at least if the girl had joined in with the dog on the trampoline. Everyone staring open-mouthed at it without smiling just ruined the cheery feel that the advert should have had... why couldn't they have made it so that the parents have smiled, laughed and put an arm around each other after the initial shock as they watched their daughter and dog bouncing joyfully together?

Meh.

I agree the girl and the dog should have been seen bouncing together at the very end. However I have seen clips online that were not included in this advert so maybe there is more. My feeling is that there is the main advert but also the shorts will be used in the advertising.

Cheaper to reinforce with the shorts then just play the main advert in prime time.

One of the last adverts to show some actual Christmas spirit rather than just a rampant consumer booze up .

What do the sentences mean at the end of each John Lewis ad (that start with a hash)? E.g. #ManOnTheMoon and #BusterTheBoxer... are they Twitter / Youtube channels?

I agree the girl and the dog should have been seen bouncing together at the very end.

Agreed that the girl should have been on the trampoline at the end with the dog.

Much better than last years

I prefer last year's tbh. Lonely guy on the moon looking back at Earth through a telescope and he receives a present from that girl.
