Only 7 weeks of the year left, and not much left to be released now... so, what's been your game of the year?

In what has been, in my opinion, an abysmal year for new releases.... It's a close call between a very select few. Shadow Warrior 2 was close. Witcher 3 Blood & Wine was in with a shout, but it's DLC so I don't want to go for that.

For me, it's got to be Inside. Something that worked technically, was well thought out and just a little bit different. Although, it didn't have much competition.

Overwatch should get something i hope!

Inside was great

Dark souls 3 should be for me but tbh it was just more of the same and sort of just a best bits mix up from all the past games to a point areas etc felt almost lifted from past games and shoved in.. a great souls game but not goty imo, i feel that series has burnt out which pains me to say as its my favourite rpg

Not sure which but loved Doom, Inside, Blood and Wine this year. Few other decent ones like Civ and Stellaris.
 
Its been another quite poor year imo for PC games, with many "big" titles falling flat.

Currently my Game of the Year would be between Battlefield 1 and Civ 6. Its very neck and neck between those 2 at the moment, so I may need a few more weeks yet to be able to definitively select which one.
 
From what I've played, it's mostly been a year for strategy titles, while most other genres have fallen a bit flat on the delivery.
It'd be a choice between Stellaris, Civilization 6 and Hearts of Iron 4 for me... leaning towards Civ 6.
 
Nothing,Been an absolute terrible year for gaming imo.

I was hoping Mafia 3 would be GOTY for me but nope,5 hours in i was already bored of its repetitiveness.

BF1 - Meh,Not feeling it at ALL and im a BF Fan,Loved BC2,BF3 & 4 but not BF1.

Call of Duty 4 remaster could have also been another another one,But no way an i buying the modern crap just to play COD4 Remaster.

I really hope 2017 can be a lot better.
