All in the title really. No restrictions on the genre, can be from any movie you choose. Can be anything from a jump scare to something that psychologically disturbed you.

I'll get us started :)

The Babadook possession scene really stayed with me. The ONLY movie that's kept me awake.

The Diner scene in Mullholland Drive is also a scene that perfectly encapsulates great horror without utilising the 'jump scare' mechanic. Truly unsettled me.

Recently I watched a film called 'Enemy' with Jake Gyllenhall. If you've seen it, you know the bit I'm talking about... I nearly pooed myself.

Aha man I forgot about that scene... Villeneuve is one of THE BEST Directors when it comes to incorporating horror tropes into other genres. I still maintain that 'Sicario' is more of a horror then a crime thriller.

Paranormal Activity 2 - Kitchen scene, scared me like I have never been scared before. Made my hairs on my neck stand up.

Sinister - Whole film creeped me out for days after I had seen it, it doesn't help I have two kids and go to bed at night by using my phone to light the way. Got my mate who I saw it with too. We were a wreck for days.

The creeping black cloud on the couch scene in Paranormal Activity 2. Mainly because it was almost identical to a sleep paralysis experience I had a few months prior.

Not cool.

My favourite film ever and I agree, but I wouldn't share it here as it's nowhere near as potent outside the context of the film and is a bit of a spoiler IMO.

Lynch is a genius at playing with the audience's expectations and pacing and his films only really work when viewed properly.

When I was a young teenager I recall liking paranormal, and watching the original Carrie film. It was very late night, the house was quiet, I was watching alone and the jump scene at the end freaked me out as I was not remotely expecting it, and it was my first true film jump.
I sat up turned the TV off, and sat staring at the wall for some time.

It was until years later I rewatched the film, and actually saw the ending, and realised the jump scene wasn't quite was it seemed to be. I wish I had watched it that first night, as I had recurrent wake ups due to that damn film. Looking back now it is laughable, and the scene isn't scary but to me then it was.

American Werewolf in London. The bit in the Cinema scared the hell out a 11 year old me. Actually the whole film was pretty scary to me then. I remember walking home with my mates afterwards and us all being scared out of our wits lol. Now I watch it and find it hilarious.

Grown up me enjoys a horror film but doesn't get scared by it.

Two scenes that always creep me out both quite similar:

1. signs, where the alien walks past the kids birthday party:

2. Dark skies when the gray alien is in the kids bedroom

perhaps I've been abducted and have a subconscious aversion to aliens...

And as someone who has seen the second one...avoid that mofo like the ****** plague! Beyond horrendous!

The only film, and I mean 'only' film, that I've sat in the cinema and kept on thinking out loud, REALLY.... REALLY!!!

It does have it's moments though that mess you around like the first.

God awful scare for me would be the cellar in The Road.

the one that upset me the most when i was younger was in jaws, the missing eyeball scene. if you aint seen it go watch jaws one night and enjoy.

I first watched that as a kid sat in front of my dads feet, that scene is stuck in my mind as having made me jump out of my skin. It's actually the only one i can think of even after all these decades, there's probably been a few but none so memorable.

This one may be nothing to you but it creeped me out bigtime. I think it was the evil of it and the sound. The whole film is worth a watch. It's a 1991 TV movie about the Smurl demonic haunting. Go to about 25:50 to see it. Maybe watch the whole film. I thought it was pretty good for a low budget TV movie.

Halloween (1978)

I find the build up to the finale in this movie unbelievably unsettling. The stalking of Laurie Strode that Myers does is unbelievably creepy for me. I watched this as a young teenager and it remains my favourite horror movie There are a few scenes like this :

It Follows (2015)

The 'wheelchair' scene with the naked lady. The first time the lead actress is made aware of the 'demon'. Bloody horrifying.

Sleepaway Camp (1983)

A very very average 80s slasher movie in a Friday 13th style that is memorable because of THAT ending!

I wont link the video because its a massive spoiler and I am not sure if the post would get removed because of its nature.

Seven (1995)

The Sloth victim scene!
