4 More States Legalize Cannabis - who's next?

Something has to get them through the next 4 years of trump.

Yup, with their degrees in gender studies and the very abundant jobs of diversity officer.

I don't really care about weed, most people seem to have the nasty smelling variants that annoy me to no end, the UK will end up on the medicinal path only though by the looks of it.

That's the chap. :)

Good to know you're not one of the usual self diagnosed chumps.
Bad to know you have such a crappy condition. I have it on one leg during winter months and it drives me mad so i can only begin to imagine what it's like all over.

People seem to still forget about how effective it's illegality is.
Currently it's illegal but just as easily obtainable a buying a starbucks coffee, its legal status os really irrelevant in terms of supply...
It's illegal status is simply costing tax payers money that ends up un the hands potential dubious types.

The benefits are increased medical research, more tax revenues, reduced cost of law enforcement, less money for black market, stable reliable product, probably weaker in thc and higher in cbd.. all that's available currently in the uk black market, there's no option for those who want a high quality product rather than simply a really strong product. Think wanting a glass of beer or wine when all that's on offer is overproof rum.

The cost (equipment, electic bill) and effort of growing it yourself will be diminished and most will simply buy a mass produced product.. yes some people will grow it, but the numbers will be small as said previously, akin to home beer or wine brewing. I like a glass of rum now and then, im.certainly not going to go to the cost and effort of setting up a still in the garage when I can buy a quality product for twenty quid.

No, never worked there. I play bass and guitar (badly).

The worst case I witnessed was a Temp who worked on there and he reckoned he was the second worst in the country. He came in one day, untied the cord on the bottom of his joggers and the eczema fell out like cornflakes while the woman next to him fainted. I had no choice but to send him home but he went straight to the hospital where he had some kind of'ray' treatment.

I'm currently on the waiting list for the UVB treatment myself. That guy's sounds exactly like mine used to be when it was 'dry' rather than 'wet'. I'd wake up in the morning and the bed would be as if somebody had been crumbling those pink wafer biscuits all night. Luckily though, and touch wood *knocks head*, we might have found a combination of stuff that, whilst not curing it, is keeping it in check.

Doublebase Gel x3 times per day
Synalar ointment (a potent steroid ointment) x1 per day
Clobavate x1 per day (moderate potency steroid ointment for my face)
Fexofenadine 180mg (strong 2nd/3rd generation antihistamine for the itching)
Atarax 25mg (one before bed to aid in sleep)
Hyrdo-Forte eye-drops. The Dr. calls them Artifical Tears, which I reckon sounds like a good name for an 80s New Wave/New Romantic tribute band.

I'm wrapped in bandages too, in order to aid the absorption of the ointments and to prevent them from rubbing off. Also helps to keep my legs and feet toasty in bed too, so there's another positive. :D

WOW:eek:

He told me that day he could just walk in anytime for the UVB because he was that bad. He came back a week later and it was a miracle. His ambition was to go to Turkey where those special fishes are, those that eat the eczema and then other little fish do something else. I don't know if he ever went.

I see that things are moving in the direction of liberty, but still too slowly I fear. We need to end the oppression on the people and the humanitarian crisis that is drug prohibition.

^^^^^^^Boys we have a junky on our hands here! :D J/king! ;)

I have smoked cannabis since I was 16 on and off for over 25 years, its never bothered me.

Its stupid that its illegal as it does sod all to you physically, its more of a chemical reaction than physical.

We do actually have brain receptors for Cannabinoids!

Its one of them look it up things and you will see what a farce the outlawing was.

So you see no problem in a government giving a professor the sack for him stating his opinion based on the field he works?

He wasn't sacked for stating his opinion. He was sacked for publicly criticising the government after they chose not to use it. The same government which paid his wages. If you sent a press release to all the papers saying why your boss was wrong, would you expect to keep your job? Even if they were? Especially of they were?

You can't compare the public and private sectors like that. The government that we are paying for was misbehaving by not using the expert evidence we also paid for, there needs to be transparency and appropriate behavior in the government and if there isn't it's quite right for their staff to call them out on it. If anything it is somewhat akin to whistle blowing in the private sector. Remember that Prof David Nutt is also forced to pay for the same government!

You never known anyone sneak their own snacks, bottles of brandy and stuff into a cinema?

Errr well 1 you aren't going to be smoking in the cinema legal or not.

Taking your own booze to a bar would be more accurate.

They invest in costly manufacturing set-ups in order to flog knock-off phone cases and USB drives and rucksacks and mice and trainers and belt buckles and...... why not this?

What!?

Who do you know who has a manufacturing line for usb drives in thier back room?

All drugs should be legal in my view. Addiction is a medical issue not a criminal one. Also casual use of drugs is harmless in moderation.

Yes it is. I've had it since childhood, the doctors kept on saying I'd grow out of it. I've been under numerous doctors and consultants for most of my life and am currently under Dr. Rotarescu.

Sounds graphically similar to me, I'm off sick atm due to a flare up, usually goes off the charts about once a year generally in winter.

Worst I've even been covered about half a year in constant pain and as you say, ridiculous sleep issues and got me started on immunosuppressants which do seem to help although it looks like pills for life.

Not entirely sure how cannabis comes into it but painkillers do nothing for huge areas of broken/raw skin, neither do sleeping pills however exhausted you are. However if I could I'd happily have let someone put me under a general anaesthetic just to get away from it. Desperate times and all that.

Don't want to advise on medical anything but I have had the UV treatment which was a walk in thing once a week at the hospital. I swear it did nothing.

Currently on Azathioprine x forever and I'm happy enough with the stability I have. Can still be bad but manageable.

Total stuff to use these days are a moisturiser and sometimes soft paraffin, maybe cetirizine hydrochloride (anti-histamine) if itchy. And the pills.

I do not miss the steroid creams at all.

You've clearly not been around people like me when they've done even a moderate amount of certain illicit substances... or if you were, you had friends keeping you safely away.

Outside, or in the foyer, maybe?
You said " most places you go to socialise" - First place I could think of that won't let you take your own stuff is the cinema.
But the principle applies - If they stock something, there will be people taking their own in. Bar, cinema, whatever.

Seen a bloke down Reading market (the one behind Pavlov's) selling a pair of 32GB drives for a fiver...
If they can do cheap, counterfeit Tommy Hilfiger and Addidas stuff, I'm sure they can make cheap crappy knock-off weed easily enough.
