Square Enix's long-awaited next entry in the 30-year-old Final Fantasy franchise arrives November 29th on PS4 and Xbox One, but first up is this promotional tie-in from Audi.

In the run up to Final Fantasy XV , Sony Pictures released the all-CG rendered Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV movie back in July, and it featured a special version of the 2017 Audi R8 called the Star of Lucis.

Now, the company's Japanese branch produced a one-off version of the car in real life and will raffle off the opportunity to buy it (for 50,000,015 yen or about $468,713) on November 21st

I love it. A lot. But you have to enter a raffle just for the opportunity to buy it for 2.5 times as much as a 'normal' V10 Plus?

If I buy FFXV will it come with one? :p

Come again

That's about the price they are going for in Australia. When I was there back in sept, me and my brother had a look at one. Normal R8 2016 so nothing out of the ordinary but I died a lot when I looked at he price tag for it...$400k Aus dollars:eek:

Foreign cars there are stupidly expensive, they call it a luxury car tax.

The luxury car tax isn't the only reason, foreign cars were expensive over there before they introduced it. It adds even more on top of the already inflated price.

33% is added to every dollar over the $64,000 luxury car threshold. ($75,000 for cars deemed 'fuel efficient')

The one that got me is that its $225,000 AUD for an Audi RS6, thats the equivelant of £135,000. Over here you can get one for £79,000.

If we take the UK price and convert it, then apply the luxury car tax, it takes it to $153,000. Thats still $72,000 less than the actual price.

Exactly and my brother out there now wants to get rid of his 4 month old Merc C63s for a new RS6. Car prices are stupidly crazy out there.
Luckily for my brother his business is doing spectacularly well and his wife being a GP out there helps him afford life's little luxuries.

I didn't realise is was OZ and yes, they get hit hard for cars, like many countries actually. I was amazed to hear how much they cost in South Africa too.
