Halfords toolboxes and roller cabinets half price

Give them a good look over before buying, check for creases in the metal have seen a few Halfords boxes that look like they have been a bit... crushed.

Depends on the useage and maintenance too. Someone tinkering over the weekend isn't going to abuse it like someone who uses it for work.

I've built two cars (not to mention a dozen bikes etc) while using mine ;)

The industrial chests would certainly be ok at a professional garage.

I disagree - I have one of the industrial mid chests it very nearly matches my SuperlinePro Topchest in terms of quality.

I bought some of this range on the half price deal earlier in the year.

I am actually very impressed. I would say they are easily comparable to my old snap-on cabinets in terms of build quality.

the latching draws are an especially nice feature (Particularly useful when equipping a van)

Think they worked out around £3/Kg,when on half price offer, which, according to my "Rule of Thumb" for the pricing of manufactured goods, is not just good value for money but downright cheap!.

SGS are complete ****

I tried a roll cab once a couple of years ago, by the time they had sent the third replacement in as many months because the castors fell apart, and on one of them, two drawers roller bearings also collapsed within a week of having it, I asked for a full refund when the third unit collapsed.

And no it was not overloaded, whole cab had less than 12kg of tools in it the second time the castors collapsed.

The industrial range Halfords roll cabinet I bought 4 years before is still going strong, and is only surpassed by my MAC tools maximiser I bought over 20 years ago.
