For people who have pre-ordered the Blade have you got a delivery date yet?

I know it says the 18th Nov (provisional) on the sale page so I'm tempted to wait until then to order, but obviously don't want to be at the back of a huge queue at that point...

No delivery date. Just a "submitted" order status. I heard that the US orders were backlogged a while.

Yay, Razer confirmed delivery to Channel Islands from 21 Nov

Hope I don't need to argue with them about removing the VAT. I expect not as the site currently says "no VAT for Croatia, Norway or Switzerland", so CI should be no different.

I'm just not sure whether to get the QHD or 4K Stealth? Anything over 1080p seems mad for a screen this size, so I expect I'll be happy with QHD (and resultant better battery life) but are there any other differences to consider between the QHD and 4K 512GB versions? Are they both glossy? I suppose a 4K screen would make the internal HD 620 gfx even worse for gaming on the laptop - do both screen resolutions scale the same to 1080p?

I doubt I'll be buying a Core until they come down in price or my desktop dies. I would like to one day replace my desktop with the Core but as I'd currently just be moving the desktop gfx card into the Core, and would not be using it as a portable unit I don't see the benefit (unless I wanted to game at the kitchen table rather than upstairs at my desk

).

I'm considering the Razer Blade as well but the extra heat and lower battery life put me off I think, although 14" screen would be nicer...

Edit: Is there an established release cycle on Blade laptops?

Shame the stealth has a neutered cpu.

I would kill for a 6700HQ, slim, 14" (ideally matte 1080p) laptop that could be hooked up to the core + monitor for gaming.

I use my laptop on the go and in bed for non-gaming, yet cpu intensive tasks involving music production/editing, and the 7500u is around half the power of my 6700HQ

Don't need the dedicated graphics card if going with the Core.

So slim, light, but with a beefy cpu when on the go, plugged in to Core when gaming.

The non-Stealth adds unneeded bulk, heat and cost for me :/

Plus I don't need a new laptop, my 14" Clevo does me fine, just drooling at the shiny shiny

True, ideally I'd like the same but can't justify the additional £800 for the RB over the RBS just for the benefit of being able to game downstairs on the laptop rather than upstairs on my desktop.

I've been hearing of a few issues with the Stealth - mainly to do with coil whine, which is making me a little apprehensive. Apparently Razer support is not very good either.

Stealth is going to be shipped on the 18th I think. Not heard from them yet though.

That's what I just did too.

Finally nailed now a spec for my next 4 years (not been easy) and only have between November 26th and December 7th to get something or have to wait until February 2017 (Out of Europe until then)

It's becoming all too common that companies play these kinds of games unfortunately! They must have known more than a day in advance of original launch dates that the laptop would be delayed...

Yeh, although it could be the Core that's causing the delay.

Whatever the issue they would have known at least a month ahead of launch that they would be delayed. Either that or their internal communication is severely lacking. However even if their internal communication was lacking they definitely would have known way before now...

And they only state the laptops ship FROM the 23rd, so its likely lot of us won't see our laptops maybe until New Years...
