Hey guys,

Placed an order for a dining table from Frances Hunt on the 7th October with a delivery estimate of 2 weeks, which was perfect as it meant it would arrive just after we'd moved in to the new house

2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard a thing since the initial confirmation email so gave them a call, they said "Yeah should have had an email, been shipped will be with you Friday 21st October". That never happened, waited until Monday just in case but nothing so spoke to them again who then said "Dunno who told you that mate, it's still not left out warehouse, we'll email you sometime this week"....again, never happened.

Spoke to them again several times hearing conflicting stories. Finally lost my patience and told them I wanted to cancel my order on the 2nd of November, they called me straight back and said "Oh sorry about this, it was actually a 2-4 week delivery window and your table was actually broken so we've had to order a new one. We've ordered it and you'll have it next week and here's a refund for the delivery costs".

As you can probably guess, I didn't receive it the following week and haven't heard a thing. They're ignoring my emails and fob us off on the phone, I didn't receive a refund for the delivery either.

What are my options here? I paid by credit card so can I do a charge back? It was a couple of hundred pounds so I want this back sharpish!

Thanks!

Not saying they are always bad, but they are clearly fobbing me off and I'm tired of waiting :(

I'll try the chargeback route, how long does that process normally take?

depending on the amount they may have to send you out some forms to complete and send back in. Ive had chargeback done there and then over the phone but only for a £10 steam game that they had taken payment for twice. For a watch repair that never materialised and was for £100 plus they sent me out some forms to complete.
