Astronomers may have found Aliens

Posted this a few times when these type of threads crop up, a very decent read with the types of scenarios we would be faced with.

We have only been around for a spec of time so I doubt we are the first - if anything I wonder any of the dinosaur's of that era would have evolved into intelligent life had they not been wiped out. They would have had a good couple of hundred million years of evolution head start on us if we were both left to evolve without extinction events.

I still find this star fascinating. Is Kepler still monitoring stars?
It is indeed interesting, and oddly gone quiet about it since the original news despite further studies showing this star has shown to have dimmed considerably over the years which could be further evidence of a Dyson sphere being built round it.

I got excited for a minute then and thought we had actually found the Ayy's this time as the thread had tonnes of replies but it was just necroed. :(
