I have some thermal pads from an EK water block... can I use these to 'fix' an EVGA 1070 SC? I haven't been following this situation very closely, so I'm not entirely sure what's affected, but I don't really want to wait for pads to be delivered if I can do it myself?

Actually scratch that, I've seen they have a whopper of a pad for under the back-plate which I don't have in that size.

Where can you get thermal pads of this size? The bay? I'd rather get this fixed asap, and I've read a lot of people are waiting a while for their pads to come from EVGA.

Is your card under water at the moment? I really wouldn't worry about them overheating and exploding at all, especially not underwater. It seems that EVGA UK have the pads now so you mightn't have to wait as long.

One problem with the pad is that you can see it through the mesh on the backplate:

No, not under water, hence the concern. Yeah, I don't like that you can see it under the GPU, but fortunately, in the ITX case this is going in, it won't be too visible.

Have you registered and ordered the pads already?
