Hi guys

Turned my pc off to move stuff over to a new pc desk and now the pc wont start, the lights come on on the mobo and thats it I did hear a clicking coming from the super flower 1200 so was wondering if thats the problem

Any ideas ?

Test the individual rails with a multimeter to check they are outputting the correc or close to correct voltages if you suspect its the PSU.

For me this is a MB issue.

Thanks 8 Pack I will know tomorrow when I install the new motherboard

Another update Board tested by company I bought it from and no fault found?

They said they cleared the cmos and it worked, I find that strange as I did the same

comment was "Cleared the cmos and the system posted fine first time"

Did you try clearing the CMOS yourself before sending it in? If not that might of been the issue, I've had my board pack up a few times because of unstable overclock or just being stupid.

No bios update needed for that.

Only thing I can think of is a memory issue then?

Try source another generico ddr4 to try, also check the slots you are using are the ones recommended for a single stick and take it from there.

Sounds daft but I had a X79 board that would only post with a single dimm in the correct slot, read the manual and it worked fine.

Thanks Ive since bought a new x99 strix and all is ok with that one so I will see when I get this board back and install it *fingers crossed its ok *

Sorry should have said I did try the memory test trying different slots etc

Hi all the saga continues and its driving me mad

Im now getting slow boot times with Asus code 98 (console input devices connect) or 99(Super IO Initialization) and the odd IOMap64.sys failed and SYSTEM PTE MISUSE with win 10,this is after doing a fresh install again today I also have an error with a device descriptor failed under device manger,

I have taken every device out and tested on another pc disconnected everything also and still shows this device descriptor failed, IM stumped and have re flashed the mobo with three different version of the bios and cleared the cmos

Any idea if this is actually on my motherboard??

Hi I have just found out what the problem could be the black USB connector closest to the old style mouse/keyboard input is not working at all this is probably why Im getting the descriptor error? This is probably what caused my mobo to stop working a few weeks back if something blew on the motherboard so Im going to send it back to scam to get it replaced

Further update I have this going back to Scam for a 2nd time but tonight I thought I would try a different cooler instead of the usual ek predator to see if that might of been the problem went and turned the power on and pop and a puff of smoke from a little black square thing next to the supreme fx sound chip.

God I hope the rest of the bits are ok as I pulled the mains right away
