Best EK Vardar fans for low RPM...?

Looking at using x3 120mm and x2 140mm Vardar fans in a WC build, aiming for the lowest RPM, therefore as quiet as possible. Which 'F' version therefore is best? Would it simply be the F1, which is rated at the lowest RPM (1150), or is it not that simple?

There F4-120ER fans are great. ER is Extended range and refers to the wide spectrum of RPM they can operate at. I would grab them for the 120 mm to be honest start around the 350 RPM range then up to the 2200 RPM. Use them and right now all three can drop down to 337 RPM or so.

the vardar is not a very good performer at low rpm iirc.

Well I don't need it running at 300RPM, that is very low indeed!

Would you advise another fan for low RPM? I've used the Corsair ML120's myself before, but the noise, even at 650RPM, was not pleasant to my ears. Vardars seem to be widely praised... I am struggling to see a better option tbh.

That's great info, thanks for that. :)

So the F3-140ER would be the 140mm one to go for I presume?

Sadly do not know about the 140mm ones :(

I have just used loads of 120mm's and currently running with the F4-120ER's on my radiators at the moment and work decent. Only other ones I want to move to is those Silent Wing's 3 which look to be extremely quiet, but thermal bench seems to show they are a tad finicky with PWM mode putting me off.

Its very strange, thou 140 MM case fans seem to have taken off, the same cannot be quiet said of Radiators/watercooling
There is choice out there but finding a 120 version and expecting a 140 just doesn't always seem to be happening.

I've read several reviews now that state ML120 at low RPM make a judder noise do to the fan not holding itself quite in place in the levitation unit.

I have ended up with these:

There is ofc a 3 pin version also.

Very well made, due to solid construction no vibration past on, the rubber grommets seem to work well also.
5 year warranty, is pretty cool also.

I will say I'm not an expert, but compared to past corsair they are light years ahead.

I think the noise with my ML120's is for the reason you describe.

So would you rate the the NB-eLoop 140mm fans above the F3-140ER?

I also wonder how the 120mm NB-eLoop Fan B12-PS compares to the EK F4-120ER, as it seems to have a decent speed range, albeit not as high as the Vardars.

I am afraid to say I own no EK F4-120er's Thus why I only gave what I knew, that they seem better (In my eyes/ears) than all the Corsair range.

I hope that helps .. at least a little !

I just purchased two of the whites and in testing they sound wonderful in my opinion. No unusual sounds, no high pitched noises, wonderful air flow. I'm impressed, coming from gt15's but they were not pwm
