Morning chaps,

Any recommendations for a cheap but decent obd2 code reader?

Car it's for is a Honda Civic 2001, am trying to trace an intermittent engine light.

Thanks all.

I've got a cheap WiFi OBDII reader from eBay and I use with the pro version of Auto Doctor on iOS and it works very well. Can scan live data, as well as codes etc.

GAnesh, the wifi ones are more expensive than the BT ones.
IF you haev an android device then the BT one will suffice :)

I've used one many times without problem until I lost it lol, I had bought a low profile BT one

I have a spare original ELM 327 BT dongle you can have if you want? Throw me your address details and I'll have it in the post next week once I've picked the car up from the detailer.

Cheers, if you don't mind holding a few days (I keep all my dongles and bits in the car heh), then I'll get it posted once it's back.

A wifi one isn't a bad idea if you've got an iphone. Have known of loads of issues with the older bluetooth ones and ios. Android seems to be more compatible though.
