Exchanging damaged money?

This is like when that dog found the Jules Rimet trophy.

OP: get a pic with you holding your dog under one arm and the note in the other hand. Stick it on here as a "photoshop" thread and the resident GD photoshop magicians will turn it into a Sun front page.

Mate £50 seriously? if this was a 500 Euro note it'd be a bit different

Mate €500 seriously? if this was a £100,000,000 note it'd be a bit different.

Or make up a story about being on benefits but your dog being amazing at finding money when you're out on walks and that it's found £150 in the last month. Get a photo of you, dog, and this ripped £20. Make sure you're wearing a dodgy tracksuit and say that you've spent the money on knock-off nike airs.

The sun will buy your story for $$$.

Nice one, would never have guessed you'd get the money for a note so badly damaged. I wonder how many notes have been thrown away that were actually salvageable in the end...

Need to be able to see both Serial Numbers.

Not true only last week I sent 4 new five pound notes that my daughter melted in the tumble dryer . They literally shrivelled up to nothing and you could not read the numbers and I was thinking they was fit for the bin. Sent them to the bank of England and they paid the £20 into my bank .
