A46... Coventry eastern bypass... traffic

Yeah I use the A46 -> A45 every day

Coming from the m69 towards warwick.
Sodding road is bumper to bumper from the m6 junction past the roundabout neat tesco and then all the way to tgi Fridays!
Been like this since monday when they opened the underpass.
I just can't understand it. It seems that it's caused by the tgi Fridays roundabouts lights and cars blocking the roundabout because some drivers are morons.
But why is their route now blocked to cause this?
Very odd
The roadworks on Tollbar Island limited the volume of traffic reaching TGI and Hospital islands, but now that the underpass is open there is an increased volume of traffic at those islands and they are now overcapacity.
It also doesn't help that the M6 has been broken nearly every day for the past year during the morning rush hour(s), so more traffic tries to go via the A46/45 to avoid the M6.

Yeah, it's sheer volume of traffic. People need to make journeys every day and there's not enough roads for cars to move freely. Chuck on drivers who are happy to block an entire roundabout to make sure no other cars get through and you cause mayhem.
I'd honestly like to see more ideas of enforced yellow box camera's at some point, it's a nightmare in Stratford Upon Avon by the tesco roundabout.

Went under the underpass today for the first time as I went into work late, normally avoid because of traffic etc. Typically go straight up A46 to A444 Whitley roundabout.
I've seen the red line on Google maps get worse this week. I have a feeling tollbar restriction allowed traffic to leave relatively cleanly and then cross TGI at a decent rate and flow.
The volume going to TGI must now be getting stuck, especially with the people turning right tending to tailback and block the right lane and then you have the whacky races aspect of people using that third lane....
Will need a few weeks to work out whats going on I guess.

it doesnt help when people use the second lane to try and undertake the third lane and sneek into the right turn.
They then get stuck in the second lane which causes everyone else to filter into one lane to go straight on.
SO annoying.
It would work a lot better if people weren't such impatient, inconsiderate *******s! I see people blocking roundabouts every time I go on that road.
I normally just beep at them even when i know they cant move, just to see the embarrasment on their faces.
