I first heard them on Alan Freeman's Saturday Rock Show back in '73, probably just before the album was released. I heard the first twenty seconds of "Keep Yourself Alive" and knew that I was hearing something very special and have been a big Queen fan for the last 43 years.
Freddie was unique and easily the best front man I've ever seen, I shed a few tears the day he died.
