Vigilante justice - ex football coach

It is never OK to do this based on suspicion alone.
Being at the centre of a sex abuse scandal is one thing, a guilty conviction is another.

Similar to Rolf Harris and Jimmy Saville, I imagine loads of people will jump on the 'he touched me too' bandwagon.

Why would you imagine people would jump on the bandwagon of childhood rape victims?

So much for innocent until proven guilty! Lets say he was found innocent, then what? The guy had a kicking for nothing.

It's like a few years ago, Joanna Yeates was murdered no more than 5 minutes away from my house. Everyone blamed the landlord and had his 'mugshot' on the front of all the papers (tbh, he did look a bit dodgy) and a Witch-hunt started....

Then it turned out he was innocent.

Selling their story, the attention both possible even if it's complete codswallop. It may not make any sense to a normal person but some people are rather broken.

Can you hear it ring
It makes you want to sing
It's such a beautiful thing, ka-ching!
Lots of diamond rings
The happiness it brings
You'll live like a king
With lots of money and things

If i ever was in the unfortunate position of being a parent whose child had had this done to them i would consider it OK to put the abuser in as much pain as he could possibly imagine.

Ok, my kid says you touched them, I pop round and beat the snot out of you even though you've never even met my kid.

Sound good to you?

You do know he has already been convicted in the past?

Maybe this is one of his victims who has done this, we don't know yet.

"Bennell, 62, was given a four-year sentence for raping a British boy on a football tour of Florida in 1994 and a nine-year sentence in 1998 for 23 offences against six boys in England"

Regardless of the new allegations, he is far from innoncent.

Not that I agree with vigilantism.

Bingo. Accusations are just that, accusations!

I wasn't aware he had already been convicted. Why is he out in public?

Yes, USA and UK.

Very far. I wasn't up to date on this case, I thought allegations have just been made with no prior convictions.

People don't seem to realise the guy is a convicted paedo. On multiple counts. With others allowed to rest on file, in part because the prosecution didn't want to put some of the victims through the court process.

Can't say I agree with vigilante justice anyway, but lots seem to be saying "what if he's innocent"

People do sadly :( lots of broken people out there and some who'll do anything for money.

Money?

It's not like he's some millionaire - he was a youth football coach.
