I'd say a 1080 is around double the performance of a 480, depending on the game.

Cheers for the info. I've seen a good deal on a EVGA 1080 leaf blower that's all. The deal on the MSI 480 looks a steal to me. I'll check in more detail when I get home. I'm only at 1200p, about time I got a new monitor.IvanDobskey said:

Yeah a nice setup that ...Doom would look great on it....
My x34 is a fantastic monitor but I use it for video editing and stuff not just gaming....(when I have the time )
