Brazilian plane crash

The **** is the matter with you?

What?

Its a legit complaint of the situation, regardless yes i find it a bit sad that a team that only just made it to the top of their league and may have moved to the top game is now unable to do so. Though apparently two of them might be alive.

The same reason media portray any headline, to gather the most attention possible from it.

80 people would have been a tragic life devastating shock to the thousands who knew them. The football team however would have been followed by millions of fans of the team or football as a sport and though not as horrific for them, still tragic. I can imagine which will sell more papers.

Tragic but true.

A team is 23 players, plus other people flying with them I would estimate close to half of the plane was part of the club in one form or another.

That's why they've been pushed to the forefront.

Why is it big news because a football team was on board? 80 people on that flight...

Does the average person remember the downed Russian airliner over Egypt or the one over Ukraine?

I bet a lot of people remember the flight Man U got downed on, just because it was a football team.

Terrible loss of human life. RIP :(

The first thing that came to my mind was the movie Beetlejuice though, weirdly enough. Didn't it also feature an entire team that died in a plane crash?

Looks like at least two of the five survivors are football players. Defender Alan Ruschel and reserve goalkeeper Jackson Follman. The sixth survivor who later died in hospiral was the main goalkeeper, Marcos Padilha. No mention who the other 3 survivors are though.

Terribly, terribly sad. I guess, at least for me, it seems more real when you consider it's a top-tier football team that has lost their entire first team in one tragic moment, and I suppose that's why much of the media has led with the football team headline. I know there were others on board and their families will probably not care at this point that it was a football team also on board, but it just seems more human when you think it could have been any team anywhere.

This football team was due to play the finals in a tourney, then they 'conveniently' got wiped out before said match. Let's see what the black box says, but I would be treating this as suspicious.

RIP to the dead :(

That's a bit over the top for a football match!

Frankly it depresses me that someone feels the need to post such a thing, at least at this early stage. :(
