Personally, I don't like using tested on animal products, or food where the welfare standard is low so I try and shop around that where ever possible (free range eggs etc) but give me a good steak any day of the week.

I'm vegetarian. Why so much hatred for me? I don't like seeing animals suffer or being killed unnecessarily. Does that make me a terrible person deserving of two pages of hate-posts?
It seems unlikely that tallow is necessary for making the banknotes, so why shouldn't people who care about animals speak up and ask for an alternative to be found? You'd think vegetarians were pooing through people's letter boxes based on some of the posts in this thread!

I hate animal cruelty and I am staunch advocate for banning hunting/culls. Hell, for the most part I prefer animals to people.
But animals being killed for food isn't an unnecessary death. People need to eat, food chain etc etc.

Although as has been pointed out kinda hard to avoid meat products in todays society.
But ask yourselves this vegans, what would happen to all the cows if we didnt eat them? They'd all die anyway to make room for the soy plantations, so might as well enjoy the tastiness of it.
