"Nvidia experience" now requires you to create an account and log on!

One can apparently do this by either creating a new Nvidia account or using a Goolee, or Facepalm one. I have no wish to create the former, nor do I have either of the latters.

The loss of the "Nvidia Experience" utility is no big deal, It just means that I no longer have the auto optimisation thing (Which was quite useful to provide starting points for optimising my somewhat older graphics card (A GTX590, It still performs quite well even with current games, but not at ultimate resolutions obviously) and I now have to DL driver updates directly from the Nvidia website (But for how long?? !!). It is an inconvenience rather than a disaster (For now!)

But Why, Just why??! :confused: :(

Its a ****ing graphics utility for ****s sake!

What is the need for all this account crap??!

Yep you can control everything from your phone.

but it comes at a price.

If you do not log on to your Hotpoint account, you will not be able to wash your clothes in your washing machine!

If you lose your web connection none of your stuff will work!

Even worse!

Eh. Make a fake Facebook account, with fake details, and a picture of Fat Elvis?

Nothing to say your FB account has to be real. And you can use it to log on to tons of websites you don't want to have your personal details, but insist you log in (a modern curse, true).

IIRC its pretty hard to create fake FB accounts now. They do checks and ask for a form of ID to prove it's real.

In fact just forgot have another account for the bloody phone! :rolleyes:

I have about 20 in fact but most have expired.

Facebook? I could set up loads of accounts using Tor! :D

Plus VPN's might hide what you do but boy it sure does look interesting that you are choosing to prevent our loving / caring government from looking at your internet habits. Must be something dodgy going on! ;)

To the OP, it is annoying but this is what spam accounts are for. I assumed it was to help Shield connectivity but seems to be just the same as before.
 
It really isn't that much of a chore.

Who doesn't have a Google or Facebook account these days anyway?
 
My missus does not know it but she is my name and address prostitute of the internet! :D

I put everything in her name, she's on Facebook, snap chat etc so I use that to my advantage to stay a little anonymous. ;)

I also change ISP every so often.
