I currently have a Note 3 which has barely been usable for months, now that the screen has started to go and that it needs constant charging I am finally relenting and will buy another phone.

A few reasons as to why i'm looking for a refurb:
- I'm not too bothered about having the newest phone
- Save cash
- Warranty of some form or the other

I don't really have much in the way of requirements other than decent battery, camera & screen. An SD slot would be beneficial too. I feel like a removable battery would be nice but maybe that's because i've never had a phone that I couldn't remove the battery.

I do take a lot of pictures with my phone if I don't have my SLR and I do a lot of reading and watching videos.

The above phones can all be had for slightly under £200 which is my absolute top budget, ideally i'd like to spend less.

I'm completely stuck with what to go for and if there are any other phones considering. That being said, which out of the phones in the title woud you guys recommend? The Sony is probably the least favourite out of the 3 purely because of glass back.

I'm completely out of the loop so would massively appreciate any advice.

Thanks :)

LG G4 for sure. Make sure it has UK warranty though in case it goes into boot loop.

Have a look on cex, they do 2 year warranty on their handsets

LG G4 has bootlooping issues. Would not recommend.

different strokes for different folks.

I've had a few G4s in my time and not one had any issues.

God knows what the serial number were though but as long as you have warranty there is nothing to worry about.

G4 has a great camera, removeable battery, micro sd, nice size screen, supports wifi calling/VoLTE and an awesome screen to body ratio.

Ticks all the boxes.

Nexus 6 is my choice. Love mine to death.

Stock Android, great performance and battery life and rom community, superb OLED screen, great speakers and lovely slim bezels.

True story, I sold my G4 for a Nexus 6.

Early G4s are time bombs if my testing is to go by (a few pre-launch testers, one after). They tried to fix it a few times but i generally expect a good amount to fail within their usable life now. I'd consider widening your options to include huewei / opo maybe if you're open to it.

As much as a liked my G4 the screen on time is very poor, 3 - 3.5 hours at best and some of the LG customisations are horrible.

Camera is brilliant though and the size of the handset is actually quite small compared to others due to the small bezels.

Personally though the battery life just wasnt good enough. for me.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

It seems to like the flaws of the G4 make it far too much of a gamble to buy second hand, they outweigh the positive.

Now to just pull the trigger and buy a Nexus :p
