****** Official World of Tanks OcUK Clan ******

I'd offer help for missions myself but I'd be more of a hindrance :p

I actually feel like light tanks are my weakest link yet I managed to finish the missions before I was even half way into the others. For all my hate for the gun on the AMX 13 90, it is dead easy to get spotting damage while kemping bush in it with the insane camo rating.

Having only 11k games while playing since launch on a free account, free XP is like gold dust to me so I wouldn't dream of it but I do feel blind as a bat playing without Sixth Sense on certain tanks now! Currently have 57k but I'm not far from unlocking AMX 30 and Centurion 7/1 and can only invest in one. Probably go for AMX as I can unlock the 100mm (which will come in handy for T9 Baby Batchat) and tracks to get it semi playable. By the time I build any more I will have Conqueror unlocked so got to get that turret.

I'll just have to stock grind the 7/1 but it doesn't look too bad as the turret seems to be barely an improvement and I have the Type B gun unlocked.

Daft as it sounds

I've started to Factor in 45k of free exp to give a comander 6th sense so I can get a 100% crew + 6th sense on any of the tankd I decide to keep and grind the crew on.

But I now really really need to grind credits - 40 Million is the ammount I need for all of the t10's I have unlocked...........

6.1 million for the tank
600k for vents
600k for vstab
500k for rammer
500k for optics
500k for binio's

Tank dependent on the above but factor in a further 2million ontop of the tank at least

Currently though the strv103b is my goal when it gets launched - hopefully I'll have the funds and free exp ready - I have almost 100k of free exp already + I can unlock 600k

What premiums do you have to make money with?

What a coincidence.

I have just over 40 million and it keeps rising. Side effect of the favourite tank being a t8 premium.

But farming 40m from scratch, on tanks you obviously don't like playing or you wouldn't be broke. Well that might be a chore and it will take a while.

Holy crap that is a lot of credits! How do you manage to save so much? I'm always scrabbling for credits to buy new shiny tanks.

Don't think it would make much difference for the heavy tanks as they have insane armour to begin with but certainly affect the TDs.

Out of curiosity, what is that favourite T8 premium Hotwired?

Sounds like they aren't going to implement the overmatch changes after feedback.

Does this make the Swedish tanks less attractive?

This is a good change. Low armour/high mobility tanks already generally are king already and this would give almost all of them a much unneeded buff which would have skewed balance even more.

There's a lot of very disappointed IS-4 drivers now though ;)

But yeah, it sounded like a bit of a ridiculous change and would make some tanks OP as well as lead to insane bounces on light tanks.

There is no point in the strv being introduced now though.

It can be compared to 2 other tanks IMHO

263 - Rare and has a very good frontal armour already, better alpha for relaod trade and no need to wait to enter a shooting mode. It open top and arta loves it though

Grille 15 - less armour, but has 'that' gun and better mobilty.

Its a real shame they aren't doing it cause its just means that very very few people will be interested in the STRV now, other then the sweedish players from a pure nostalgia view.

I don't know though, they were going to be breaking the whole game for the sake of three tanks on one tech tree. Disappointing to the people who wanted something novel and new but it's a better decision for the whole game.

It's still a very interesting vehicle with what looks like unrivaled DPM in siege mode and I'm guessing they'll probably give it a camo boost too to turn it into that sneaky and fast TD that is lacking from T10. Most of the higher end tank destroyers in this game are the size of a barn and camo rating that comes with that. Otherwise you'd have a tank with insane DPM, very good camo and that can bounce shells frontally willy nilly which would basically be like having your cake and eating it.

P.S. I still want one!

P.S.P.S. Actually just looked and it seems to already have by far the best camo rating at T10

M6A2E1

At least half the reason I play it is because it's rare, theres o.1% chance of me seeing some other scrub in one and zero chance of seeing it spammed against me because of bandwagon thinking.

If I meet one I know its a really tall piece of trash on 3 sides, slow and has about 1600 dpm before buffs which is really low. The new Patriot (which I have, and feel dirty using) has pretty much double the DPM and shreds enemy tanks.

It's also not very profitable, shells are 1k or 4k and 198 or 245mm pen so by default the heavy tanks I look to fight are marginal when only using normal ammo. Still, it takes huge effort to ever lose credits so cash stacks up through sheer number of battles.

I'm happy with it being really good and really bad at certain things and I live or die with those limitations whether its doing a bulldozer impression down a town street through tank wrecks or getting obliterated from miles off on open maps because I'm really tall with weak sides and easily seen/aimed at.

I'm not sure what I think about the overmatch changes being cancelled, it would have removed the ability for people to shoot the underside of the tank which is over the tracks on this. They are 25mm and angled so you can shoot a thin strip from the front which is an autopen for any gun it meets.

Ah the mutant, certainly don't see many of them around at all nowadays, guess it didn't stand the test of time too well but still no slouch and has preferential matchmaking.

The IS-3 is one of the last tanks that needed a buff too, it would have been crazy overpowered at T8.

I liked the idea of Armour and angling being more important.

The problem with tanks like the IS3 is not the armour but the matchmaking. I'd like the option of historic matchmaking where if you play in your tiger you won't meet vastly more modern tanks. But limited so that you can't have 10 tigers vs 10 shermans. You can only have 2 tigers per team. Which would make the lower tiers more important. Also that the MM is +1 or -1 not 2 as it is currently.

Because of the MM they have to distort the characteristics of the tanks to balance them for +2/-2 MM. hence you get a heavy tank with no armour and no mobility. Or the same gun across 3 tiers having completely different characteristics.

But with the current MM you couldn't remove over matching as it would make the current flaws with MM even worse.

Which would you get now, the AMX M4 mle47 or the Super Super Patton. Seems to me they suit different styles of play. I'm getting a bit fed up trying to fight off higher tiers frontally in my Rev, (lol) and being too slow to re-position.

Purely from experience of fighting them, Super Super Pershing is a tougher nut to crack from the front, quicker to turn when trying to circle it and seems to have a better reload too. If I see one I usually switch target/position, whereas if I see the French Emily, I just track it and spam that giant cupola. Huge tracks too which eat a lot of shells when sidescraping so I'd definitely put my money into that. Just a shame we still can't buy regular camo ones, little too 'Murica for me.

I also wish the British would get a different premium tank destroyer, wouldn't mind a crew trainer but really don't fancy the AT15.

The at15a is a godawful waste of space.

It's slow, has low alpha, low dpm and the armour is not effective since the central plate is the weakest.

It has 2000dpm 171/239mm penetration and 150 alpha

Or you could rub two brain cells together and see the SU-122-44 at the same tier.

It has 3000dpm, 175/217mm penetration and 390 alpha

The armour slope, smaller size and higher speed of the SU makes it a comedy comparision.

For the 15a to become a legit TD it needs to be remade in the JT88 mould which also has low alpha but actually has good dpm not trash dpm.

Yeah odd that it isn't getting any love when other premiums are in 9.17, but to be fair being a preferential MM dinosaur they will probably be dropping it soon. In the meantime I have awful crew on the Challenger and would love to at least get Sixth Sense by the time I'm in the Charioteer.

Only way that's happening is if I play Challenger for longer than needed and I REALLY don't want to do that.
