It's that time of year, time to spread some Christmas cheer!

Absolute favourite Christmas movie has to be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I've owned it multiple times on VHS and DVD over the years and it always gets plenty of play time over the Christmas period.

On the opposite side of things, 1 show I could never stand around Christmas was A Charlie Brown Christmas. Even as a kid I just found the whole thing depressing.

Hmm, maybe Blackadder's Christmas Carol for TV special. Too many films to choose from however Trading Places and Planes, Trains & Automobiles are definitely up there!

Gotta agree with National Lampoon's, it's not Xmas in our house until me and the missus have watched that film.

Honorable mention to Miracle on 34th Street ('94 version).

Must admit to liking a watch of Die Hard, Trading Places and A Wonderful Life at Christmas.

Bernard and the Genie. Haven't seen it in years though.

I always see Die Hard on these kinds of threads but apart from a couple of scenes it could be any time of year.

For me it would probably have to be:

Die Hard
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (the christmas tree light bit is very true*).
Gremlins
Tokyo Godfathers (it's an odd but good film)

*When I was younger I was the idiot in our house who got tasked to find the dead bulb as I knew most about electronics (or that was the reason I was given). I got fairly good using a non contact tester to find where the power got cut off in the string.
