Eating sweet food...

Why do you care that he doesn't care?

For the sake of making a boring thread more interesting. :p

Keep fishing. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why indulging 24/7 is irresponsible.

I eat whatever I want, whenever I want.

I had McDonald's at 4am this morning because I was awake and hungry.

I also had a sausage, mushroom and hashbrown sandwich everyday this week apart from today because I had McDonald's again.

Chinese tomorrow night.

I also eat chocolate, crisps, cakes and drink fizzy pop every day.

Not sure if trolling

Roll on sat for a big curry washed down with plenty of beer :)

Nothing wrong with that at the weekend. Not exactly a sweet food but still, a treat.

Enjoy :)

Ok ill keep fishing. Why do you care what he eats?

You clearly care what you eat cos you told everyone but why him/them ?

Such a terrible attitude. Do you care about your health or waistline in the slightest?

Couldn't care less. Besides, I've been the same weight and had the same waist size (hovering between 13st & 14st depending on how active I decide to be and with a 36" waist) for as long as I can remember now, and my blood tests always come back showing me as healthy. :D

Eating sugar all day is pretty awesome tbh. I am now a complete sloth and a year's hard work from looking lean but... meh! Better things to do tbh.

Anyway, my question is, regardless of quantity, do you have something sweet most days of the week?

Oh yeah sorry i forgot to answer the question.

I used to. As someone else mentioned id probably have "afters/desert" after every evening meal. Nowdays though and for the past 15 years no, I don't. Maybe once a week? I have hardly any "sweet" food in the house.
Now its coming up to Xmas there is a lot fo Biscuits at work and ill have 1 or 2 with a coffee around 2pm... gingerbread mmmmmmm :P

It's just a common sense thing. You know, looking after yourself to some extent.

No i don't understand sorry ? Can you explain why ?
You mean like not smoking or not drinking ?
Can you not eat sweet foods and have a healthy active life?
Is this one of those trick questions ?

If you read my posts properly I wouldn't need to elaborate or repeat myself. I've reiterated everything in moderation. You're the one making it tricky.

Do I have a problem with people eating sugar to excess? Yes, yes I do. As do most people. Why? I'm not going down that road, it's more than obvious why. Hopefully you've finished fishing now.

My question really is the impact of sugar on our brains - I've already stated I crave it on a daily basis and I think that's pretty fascinating since many reports (however ridiculous they may be) claim it's just as addictive as class A drugs.

Not that I'm stalking but just stumbled across your below post in the night owl thread where you say:

Managed to sleep from 11.30pm-5.00am straight through without waking up, longest I've slept in months.

FYI - diet plays a pretty big role with regards to your sleeping habits.

if you have good genetics doesnt matter much what you eat.are humans meant to pump weights in gym or run 24/7 ? nope. you will end up at 40/50 with worn out joints and probably worse.

oldest person in world is 117 doesnt eat veg for close to 60 years.only eggs.

if you want sweet eat sweet dont go over board moderation everything. doing gym running over exercising is as bad as doing nothing.

I thought, correct or incorrectly, like many other animals we are genetically disposed/evolved to like and want sweet tasting stuff because it is a much easily absorbed and ready source of energy.

If that is true i don't think its really that hard to see why some people crave it. Those "less evolved" and without willpower to control themselves.

As an ex smoker i understand craving but at the same time i know how easy it was to quit so find the whole mind over matter thing not such a big deal.

I normally fix it with a mixing bowl of air popped popcorn, 1 tbsp natural peanut butter and some zero cal sweetener. Works out under 300 calories, but very satisfying

One of my favourite go to sweet snacks is a bowl of Greek yoghurt with a few fistfulls of raisin, nut & honey granola. Sometimes I drizzle extra honey over it too.

I live what would I class as a healthy life style too. For sweetness I have a little honey along with cinnamon on my porridge. I have blueberries and strawberries and maybe 4 or so times a week I'll have two squares of dark chocolate when I get in after cycling home from work. That does me :D

Sounds like "clean" eaters are the new vegans? Casting judgement on those who would dare to eat a biscuit whilst feeling incredibly self righteous about the fact they are so much better than everyone else and wouldn't even look at a sweet treat.
