Christmas Tree

Has to be a real tree, don't bother with lights. Just hang our old felt type hangy things.
Love to see the pressies round the tree.
Getting mine this weekend, then take it down before the new year.

I can remember my parents house would be full to the brim of Xmas decorations, well over board. Can't stand owt like that now. Just a tree, nowt else.

We are more bothered by the tree than the kids, we love it, 2 weeks of something different, memories of childhood, buy a new 'special' bauble every year and also get a naff singing cuddly toy

Real tree with white LED lights.

We used to have a fake tree but nothing beats the real thing, I read a real tree has a lower carbon footprint as well.

depends on how long you keep the artificial one and how you dispose of the real one, 10 years is the sweet spot, mine is 15 years old, call me Captain Planet!

Got sick of trying to find a decent one so hauled the old faithful out the loft again for another year. £7.50 about 8 years ago.

Will maybe get one in the sale on boxing day if I can be arsed.

These are both of our tree's - one is cold light, one is warm light.

Real tree, warm white lights.

Never had a problem with trees dying - reckon ours could last until Feb usually.

Pine needles all falling out was enough for me that after one year of a real tree, I've gone back to artificial. However 2 cats climbing into the tree was the main cause I think.

It's taken years to get Mrs N to accept LED lights in the tree instead of the old incandescent ones. It was just becoming too much of a pain to find spare bulbs every year.

We've not had a tree drop lots of needles for years, ever since they started using the broader leaved nordmann firs as opposed to Norway spruce. Keep it well watered in a decent stand and it should last all month.

I have a 7ft fake tree with LED lights already on it. I can change from warm lights to multi coloured using the foot pedal near it. So depending on how much of my inner child wants to see all the colours I can pick and chose !

Fake tree and just cover it in any old ****e, I see lots of my friends with these really nice tasteful decorations on their trees then look at mine, a horror show of tack and multi-coloured everything. I wouldn't change it for the world :p

fake tree and steady blue LEDs - then with a multicoloured selectable rope light up the center of the tree to change its look. I have a 2 yo and a wife who is crazy about Xmas so the old days of a simple tree has now been replaced by a tree with everything, ceiling decorations, outside lights - the works!!!

Real tree, warm white lights.

We are usually only at home once every 3 Christmases so don't normally bother.

Heard that using cheap lemonade rather than water helps with shedding needles and keeping it alive longer. Not had a chance to try it myself but a green fingered friend has confirmed that it works.
