AMD Readies Massive Radeon Software Update with Crimson Relive Drivers – Performance Increases For R

Cheers TT for the vid, shanks, yours was no bad too:p, brings that area on par with Nv now, dare say Red Team are going to plug the hell out of it on Twitch/YT so imagine it'll generate some sales.

Hope you get a fix TT:)

Quick clip i got from GTA V, youtube compression really killed the quality in the blacks and made it look a bit fuzzy and also killed the smoothness in the framerate, the raw recording was way better.

GTA V really pushes my first gen i5 at 4ghz to the limit so to get smooth high res recordings like this is a godsend now, was using OBS with the AMF encoder till now and this is way better.

That's a big ass driver.

In all fairness, considering how important the GPU is for games, driver sizes have been quite small considering.

When you look at the sizes for networking and sound drivers if using realtek motherboard, GPU drivers are quite small given the workload, maybe the software devs should develop more unrestrained?

attempted to test Relive recording last night, recorded two files, neither will play and show size on disk as 0 bytes . . . any ideas?

Morning chaps.

Anyone had issues with silly high ping when enabling relive?

Installed the update yesterday and played some overwatch, everything was running smooth at around 29ms. Today however, i have set up relive and now my pings around 300+ms!! Even when not streaming it doesn't come down.

How do we uninstall the relive software? On change via control panel, doesn't have the option.

I have to say, I am having pretty big issues with these drivers. I have started my computer 3 times since installing them and twice the fan speed has defaulted so low that my card was sitting at 95C after a year of never seeing more than 75.

The third time I was getting major screen flickering to the point I thought my VRAM had gone in a big way. Thankfully an uninstall of these drivers seemed to help a lot. I am reinstalling them now in the hope this will stop.

If you not streaming then I highly doubt the driver is the making your ping high.
The is a network issue, under task manager is the anything hitting the network?

You on wireless by any chance?

My wireless connection went to ****, it seemed like the ping was really high at times, so bad that players in the division would freeze and die 5 seconds later from an entire mag I put into them...

Switched to hard wire connection, no problems.

I am back on 16.11.5 due to having 2 lockups yesterday, have yet to try my wireless out again but shall report back later.

I highly doubt it is AMD drivers affecting my wireless connection but it did seem odd that the problem started around the same time as putting relive on...

Since Friday, I had periodically lag spikes on World of Tanks. From the usual 30-35ms spikes at 175ms and drop down again. And they were always at the same period. Thought it was the game as others complained.

However this morning, which still I had those lag spikes, and reading above, decides to uninstall, then use the new DDU which is compatible with Relive, to remove anything left and re-install without relive.

No lag spikes on WOT. Yes I use wifi, but could it be the WOT recording system. I do not know. But without AMD relive I had no issue those few hours.
Also I have wiped out the xbox dvr also when I put windows months ago.

Nothing at all. This was the first thing I have checked. Noticed a few posts on reddit with people having the same issue. Weird.

I'm on wired. Never have a problem either. I'll roll back the drivers and report back.
