I wasn’t going to post about this but hey I might as well and see what GD has to say about it

I’ve recently split up with my girlfriend of just over a year, it was quite mutual, no one did anything to hurt the other we just both decided that it wasn’t really going anywhere. I don’t think she is really right for a relationship at the moment and needs to do some sorting out of her own. We have said we are going to stay in contact and be friends, her idea. Up to now we have still be talking over txt which I am happy with and I do believe we probably will keep in touch at least for the foreseeable future.

Despite the clean break it still sucks pretty hard, especially at this time of the year. I’m lucky enough to be close to my family so Christmas won’t be spent totally alone and I have small group of friends for the Christmas drinks ect.

Thankfully I am not someone who needs to be in a relationship and I am totally happy doing things on my own and am comfortable with my own company but….. I am 32 now and my group of friends isn’t the largest, a lot of people I know are married with kids or are in long term relationships this makes it hard for me to go out and meet people the “normal way” and will do as I have done previously and use internet dating. Although I am perfectly happy on my own and not looking to get with anyone anytime soon, I want some alone time just to get myself sorted as I am thinking of finding a new career path in the newyear. I can’t help but think I am missing the boat a bit if I want to find happiness, have a family and all of the “normal” things people are supposed to do. I don’t need anyone to be complete but having someone around to share things with is nice

Thoughts?

Unless you look like Brad Pitt online dating is brutal and you will only hook whales and manatees. The "normal way" is the *best way*. If you see a girl you like, just go up to her and talk to her. Majority of men can't do that, so you will be attractive straight away for having a strong frame. Female frames are made to buckle under a strong male frame.

She will test your frame so “Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the **** you were gonna do anyway.” Robert Downey Jr.

i didnt expect it to go this bad.......

Genuine happiness comes from within, save yourself the trouble of trying to find someone else to give you it. You're naturally going to have this current emotional state just after a breakup but just keep busy and focus on you and you'll be back to being jolly in no time unless you've got some chemical imbalances going on upstairs.
