Hi Guys

Looking at buying a new video card and have a budget of £250 ish

looks like it may have to be a 1060 3GB card, thinking of maybe streching to a 6GB. lots of brands etc... is there a recommendation on the brand of card i should purchase? Can i overclock something cheap for a bang for buck solution?

Thanks :)

Decent cooler. KFA2 has a UK RMA centre, so that's great. Can't really beat it for the price. You could even sell the free games that come with it to reduce the price further.

However, there are some arguably better AMD RX 480's that you could get for a similar price. It's down to your preference of these two brands, and which games you intend to play (as each has their strengths).

I have the KFA card in the second post. Really great card, nice and quiet, stays cool, plays BF1 and Doom, the only two games I currently have installed, on ultra at 60fps (with vsync) and feels very smooth. Nothing bad to say about the card.

The MSI 1060 3GB / 6GB are really nice cards. I would def go for one of them.

If you would consider an AMD card the MSI RX 480 Gaming is an even better card.

Do not buy a 3GB card full stop unless you are buying second hand.
The RX480 with the latest AMD ReLive drivers is the best option.
