I found this very upsetting to read, what a brave little boy.

"I sat down on his bed and asked, ‘Say, what’s this I hear about you’re gonna miss Christmas? There’s no way you can miss Christmas! Why, you’re my Number One elf!

“He looked up and said, ‘I am?’

“I said, ‘Sure!'"

Eric then gave the boy a present that his mum had bought for him to give. After opening it the conversation continued:

“He kinda sat up and gave me a big hug and asked one more question: ‘Santa, can you help me?’

“I wrapped my arms around him. Before I could say anything, he died right there. I let him stay, just kept hugging and holding on to him.

Yep, I had just finished putting the xmas decorations up and the kids came back from school, they were messing around all excited by the decorations and tree,

I sat down to catch up on the news and have a vape, and read this, I still cant hold it together even when typing this.

you get wrapped up in your day to day problems thinking its hard, to then read this.

I think I feel ashamed, I am not sure....

I read this earlier this evening and was absolutely choked. Utterly heartbreaking story.

Yeah, this got me bad. Made me disgusted with myself for sitting here whinging about having a cold. In fact, it made all my problems seem mere trivial annoyances.

RIP little fella.

Man poor Eric, that's him scared for the rest of his life.

:( yeah to have a young lad you met 5 mins ago die in your arms must do some serious emotional damage.

However at least he can look on the bright side that he was able to grant this poor boys wish.

RIP little one.
