Parents,

Seems my daughter wants a hatchimal. Any suggestions on a good site that you've used to buy one ? Ebay seems to be awash of over priced ones. Release I will have to pay over the odds.

Any suggestions ?

Simon

A mate of mine spent a while hunting for one for her daughter, eBay seems about the only guaranteed place to find one but as you've found they are ripping the backside out of the prices.

Good luck!

They are sold out everywhere when we looked for my little girl and we had already brought her most of her gifts. So we told her that santa can't make enough of them for every kid to get one and that she should ask for one for her birthday in April.

Yeah, just had a look.

Some european Amazon is your best bet, and hope it comes in time. Still paying daft money though.

Awful little things really. Crappy little teddy in a use once egg shell. But, what can I do, we all try and do the best for out kids.

Just looking around now. Stockinformer seems to confirm Ebay is the only way.

bugger

Ouch they're even quite expensive brand new from the shop, let alone from people reselling them.

Good luck OP.

We have one ready for my daughter at Christmas, my wife reserved one at a high street shop only to find a better price elsewhere. The good Samaritan that she is and not the usual greedy lot at Christmas she put the reserved details on a local buy/sell site on FB. No doubt that person has it on ebay now going for £100 + :p

Sometimes doing the best means saying no. Maybe this is one of those times?

I decided to get my daughter the furby connect instead of the hatchimal, it will last longer efore my daughter gets bored.

Good luck trying to get one from Argos.

Someone I know just went into the local Argos yesterday - bought all 18 they had in stock and has already sold 10 of them on ebay at 100% markup!! haha

Good old profiteering at xmas

Get her a real pet. You can forget and throw away an expensive toy but a dog just keeps coming back!

In all seriousness though, I had to google this and was i surprised at the price tag. Isnt it like a very basic robot teddy in a disposable plastic shell?
