Christmas dinner for one

You're supposed to have leftovers from a Christmas lunch.

Cook it for two and then deal with what's left.

I'm not even sure how you'd cook it for two if turkey is involved. A very small crown maybe?

The turkey is the issue really, the veg/sides etc can all be easily portioned for one.

I'd just get the smallest one you can and then freeze the rest/use it for sandwiches/curry/casseroles for the next few days.

If you are cooking just for yourself it gives you the ultimate freedom. Do you want all the elements of a traditional Christmas dinner? Are there any aspects that are your favourites that you can pick out and focus on?
If you are not having to buy lots of volume you can consider finer ingredients too.

Found this, may be some inspiration.

Just buy a pack of turkey fillets or a small joint rather than a whole/half turkey.

That or just use up/freeze left overs.

I'm cooking for 6 but I make about 12 dinners and have the rest throughout the week - I'd recommend doing the same as it's a lot of work for just one meal.

Turkey crown, then shred and keep the leftovers. Then you can do turkey sandwiches, fajitas, curries etc

Otherwise as said it's a lot of effort for one meal.

I think the only thing that would be disappointing there is the roast potatoes. But hey, just goes to show how easy it can be. When people say they can't cook I want to shove videos like that in their fat faces  :p ;)
