I had my first Turkey dinner yesterday with work. I forgot to take a picture. :( I'm having another tomorrow which will be fish - I'll take a picture :)

For the 25th December we're having goose. What are you having?

I have no idea what I'm having (I've got the year off from cooking for once!), I'll be going to her parents for lunch then my parents for tea.

I do like surprises :)

Work Christmas doo I'm having Turkey as it was the best option on the menu, plus had it last year at the same place and it wasn't too shabby.

Having Christmas at the in-laws this year, think the Mother in Law is doing a ham and a chicken. Plus I'm hoping my request for a whole tray of pigs in blankets has gone through ok :D (fat chance but worth a try). Should be good.

It's going to be turkey for me after doing Goose last year.
I want a ham as well which the plan is for Christmas Eve. However don't want to have the same trimmings.
If you were having roast ham the day before Christmas dinner what would you serve with it to make it a different meal?

Beef Wellington here, my dad and I will no doubt be arguing between now and Christmas about how we want to make it :D

For Christmas Eve this is what i've thought of so far:
Roast ham with cloves and sugar and all that jazz
Cauliflower cheese
Warm coleslaw - cabbage and carrot with a mustard dressing
Peas and leeks or sweet corn?
Spiced sweet potato cubes or mash? Or cornbread?

I'm thinking about taking bbq flavours but making them wintery.
Any tips?

What does wild boar taste like? I've always fancied having a try ever since reading the Asterix books as a kid :)

For Christmas lunch I am doing Turkey and I am going to do it with; mashed potatoes, honey roasted parsnips, pigs in blankets, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and some gravy.

Not decided on what I want to do as a dessert yet.

goose crown, pork with crackling, honey roast sprouts, roast potato's, creamy onion garlic mash potato, garden peas. and some nasty vegan stuff. cabbage, carrots (roasted with the sprouts), real gravy, and yorkys.
