Hi all,
I recently bought an Abit QuadGT IX38 motherboard as part of a project to build a spare parts machine. I have a GTX 470 that works just fine in the machine but when I tried putting my GTX 760 it refuses to show anything to the screen, it does boot up correctly and seems to get into windows okay. I can hear it pausing until I type in my password at which point the drive spins up again for a bit while it does the normal bit of more thinking on login.
The only thing I can think of is that the motherboard has a PCI-E x16 2.0 slot whereas the card is PCI-E 3.0 but it should be backwards compatible. The PSU also shouldn't be a problem, it's a good quality Silverstone 650W and I doubt the 760 needs much more power than the 470.
Any ideas? I've tried just about everything I can think of in the BIOS, all the PCI-E compatibility settings don't do anything.
Thanks!
