Or they like doing it and want to keep entertaining the fan base the tried hard to build up?

He was a penniless youtube for a while working part time in a hotdog stand and still making videos for fans.

Like saying any famous singer who released a song after making money is just after an ego boost or premier league footballers after a first year of their contract are greedy. What happened to people liking what they do?

He was doing youtube for a while before he made a living on it and few back then never thought a living could even be made from it.

I mean, why do anything when you've made 'enough' money?

Why keep playing professional sports, making music, films, television... Why keep making business deals after a big contract, why keep doing anything after you've made your money man.

Who do multi millionaire footballers carry on? Why does Andy Murray carry on? and so on ............... I don't know, perhaps they enjoy doing it.

Yeh, and by this kindergarten logic anyone who makes more than a few million from making music or movies is also greedy? No, they are doing a successful career that they love and built brick by brick with blood, sweat and tears.

Your response is typical of the unambitious, bitter people who will never do anything remotely interesting with their lives and resent other people's success. Sadly, that kind of low-grade mentality seems to be popular in the UK at the moment.

Rubbish. Motives will vary, but people who've been very successful in something rarely just jack it in solely because they've made plenty of money from it.

Off the top of my head, here are some other motives:

1) They like doing it. Many people who are very successful at something like doing it, particularly when it's something that takes a lot of time and which very rarely leads to wealth.

2) They feel a degree of commitment to doing it. If they stop just because they've made a lot of money, it's going to seem like this: "Hi everyone! You've watched my videos because you like watching them and that's attracted advertisers and sponsors who've given me a lot of money. You've commented favourably on my videos and how you look forward to the next one. Now bugger off because I'm rich and you can kiss my arse, hahahaha goodbye suckers!"

3) They gain satisfaction from being good at something.
 
So has he deleted his account? I wouldn't dare search for pewdiepie in case my YouTube becomes infected.

You know you've forgotten to sign-in to YouTube when you have utter garbage from pewdiepie et al. on every link. I think it's a PsyOp to get people to sign in/make accounts.

he deleted an insignificant second account, the plan from the start.
 
I understand why there is a lot of envy towards him as he makes a lot of money, is young and does it doing what he loves and what many people here would love to do.

What i dont understand is why this blatant dislike born from envy is fashionable. People might find him annoying but he is hardly undeserving of something he earned honestly and through his own hard work.


My personal favourite Youtube channel at the moment is 'Aweme'. I read a lot of high fantasy books and traditional smithing methods have always fascinated me. Those guys are like modern age grown geek kids with the skills and knowledge of traditional blacksmiths but with modern tools and methods at their disposal.

I think people make the mistake of thinking he is actually like how he is in videos in real life, when he is just playing a character.
 
I watch a lot of Youtube videos but never any of his..

was curious so just started to watch one.. turned off after 30 seconds.. guy is annoying and so blatantly playing a character for the camera.

I wont be subscribing... I'm out

I have respect for these guys making money.

Just try making even a 10 minute video on your phone or webcam and make it interesting for others. It's no easy task.

I did watch him playing the original resident evil and he made me LOL.

You missed one out, i will give an example:

I hate Pewdiepie because he is Swedish. He comes in here as a University dropout and earns millions. That high paying job could have gone to someone who deserves it such as a British person. At least he is white and Christian though.
