Just park on the road.
This time of year the grass is ruined with massive holes and mud everywhere. .

Council should ticket people or fine them for the damage.
Looks terrible. .

I'd rather some messed up grass than having to slalom down the road in and out of parked cars.

I never park on the grass but its far better than making a bottleneck in the road no larger than a Micra, which causes people to drive on the grass to get around (which is worse) or risk scuffing their alloys.

Council solution to roads where people make a fuss is to put large rocks on the grass.

Nevermind parking on the grass, what about those inconsiderate **** that park on the pavement? I'm not talking just the inside wheels still in contact with the kerbstones, I'm talking about those who have >25% of their car on the pavement, so much so that pedestrians (especially those with prams, shopping trolleys etc.) have to come off the pavement and into the road to get by.

Pavements are for people, tarmac is for tyres!

Parking on pavements and verges is one of those things that's annoying for various obvious reasons, but it's pointless worrying / complaining about it, because apart from extreme cases it'll never be dealt with or eradicated.

It used to annoy me, but moving on with life and dealing with it is the tactic I've adopted.

Blocking pavements off stopping people getting through with prams unless they go on the road is the main annoyance around here atm.

I've had a friendly word before but you get a look like you've just slapped them in the chops.

TBH i never had an issue with people parking on pavements except when they are really cheeky and leave practically no room. I would never risk parking like that, you **** off the wrong person like that and it just gets your car keyed

Or like a member on here once did, squeezed down in their wheelchair making sure to scrape the whole side of the car IIRC.

OP is correct, few things blight an area more than scruffy grass verges. Parking on the pavement is wrong too, but what do people expect when councils don't let builders build enough parking spaces.

you can't win, fire engines either can't or struggle to get down a road because of people parking on the road making it tight and then push chairs and wheelchairs etc can't get past when you park off road.
