The Brussel Sprout. Evil or genius? Maybe a poll can clear this up.

Whilst I dont like them myself they are seen as evil by most people due to the way they were always cooked previously (ie boiled to oblivion). Fried off with some bacon they are supposed to be quite nice.

tbf, when it comes to christmas, not all that fond of turkey either.

Reminds me of the latest Kermode/Mayo argument about 'crispy' sprouts.

Indeed I find most people that don't like sprouts are the sort of children that refuse to eat green veg anyway. I like them however they come, but overcooked is not the best. They need to be crunchy/al dente. Roasted or fried is also great.

Probably because green veg tends to taste a lot more bitter to younger buds and becomes more tolerable as you are older. They use to taste bitter to me but are fine now. I lightly steam mine and then half them and fry them in butter and garlic.
