Could this mean the end of Ruf
Interestingly, Hornung also apparently conceded the popularity of Ruf vehicles as Porsche substitutes in racing games was not something that Porsche counted on, and he seems to be no fan of the fictional racing versions of Ruf cars that appear in some racing simulators. Ruf vehicles are built using unmarked Porsche chassis and, as the company is recognised as a distinct manufacturer, game developers have long used them to get around the EA licensing hurdle.

Yeah i basically read 'Ruf' as 'Porsche' these days. I'm glad this is over, it seems a pretty strange idea given Porsche is one of many many sports car manufactures.

As an aside, I really liked N4S Porsche 2000 / Unleashed, so at least some good came of it! It would be cool if there was another racing game that followed the history of a brand with such attention to detail (OK, let's cut to the chase, I would like a Ferrari / Aston Martin one!)

There have already been exceptions. Forza (or Horizon, not sure) had a Porsche expansion pack. Admittedly it was Ruf in the main game, but the expansion was all Porsche.

The Porsche cars in asseto corsa are excellent (if you have a decent wheel setup)

looking forward to the rest of the cars being released ,and also hoping that the Gran Turismo delay can benefit from this
